Giovanni.

Capture interesting, although I think that if these insects portraits from behind do not do much. The photo has quanche little problem on the highlights, I think it had to be lowered, a slight blur of a wing, the background is good.
I tried bringing in local optimization, I think best. Not the place for respect; As appropriate if I can do it, maybe I'll tell you what I did, there ragioniano above.
John.

Ciao Fabrizio

Hello John, are the first pictures with the 7D Mark II and I can not use it as the 50D on the photos in low light of +1 and maybe I have to overexpose underexpose slightly with the highlights. I always use the aperture priority, and then get up or down with the iso for the times that I did not take a camera shake, but as with the 50D everything worked well with the 7D I can not, I will quietly do the tests or display differently. I checked now this photo in raw and I + 1/3 overexposure. If you want to expose it no problem, always willing to accept good advice. Hello Fabrizio

Giovanni.

Thanks Fabrizio, here is the enhanced picture.

In PS, with command (Lights / shadows), the lights dimmed. Optimized levels, moving the midpoint, lowered the overall contrast, applied a mask to accentuate the sharpness.
John.

Hello John, mine is actually a bit 'overexposed, usually deliberately leave a little' clearer because when I go to print are a bit 'darker. I'm not a magician of Photoshop so I can not understand what it means to optimized levels and shifted the midpoint. I would not however apply unsharp mask that I never use, the effect seems a bit 'too much. Thanks for the tips and the work done, hello Fabrizio
