Nonostante abiti a Trieste da ormai 18 anni, sono stato a Pirano solo un paio di volte perchè in città è impossbile entrarvi senza pagare un salatissimo parcheggio, dovuto all'esiguità dei posti macchina. La città, come molte altre della riviera adriatica orientale, è stata costruita dai veneziani ed è praticamente rimasta intatta fino ad oggi come allora.
