#Abbazie #Chiese Focale 24 mm. La chiesa di Santa Maria delle Carceri con la nuova facciata, ultimata pochi mesi fa. La prima testimonianza della chiesa è del 1107, successivamente ingrandita a tre navate in stile romanico. Nel XII secolo ospitava pellegrini diretti a Roma. Nel 1643 la chiesa fu quasi completamente distrutta da un vasto incendio, quando venne prontamente riedificata nelle forme barocche che ora possiamo ammirare. Oggi è la Parrocchiale del paese di Carceri (PD).
