La Chiesa di Santa Rita da Cascia, sita nell'omonima piazza, è un importante e tardo esempio di architettura eclettica riferibile al neo-gotico francese. Il santuario è stato fondato da monsignor Giovanni Baloire, che si dedicò intensamente alla realizzazione di uno dei più famosi complessi religiosi di Torino. Ancora giovane prete, nel 1916, Baloire si era reso conto della necessità di edificare una parrocchia in quella zona, fortemente caratterizzata dalla presenza di case operaie. I lavori iniziarono il 19 maggio 1927 e terminarono nel 1933 con la costruzione del campanile posto sul fronte principale. Questo presenta, alla base, un portale d'ingresso in marmo bianco ed è coronato da quattro pinnacoli. La facciata della chiesa è rivestita in pietra di Cedrano e pietra di Zandobbio lavorate a bugnato. Lo spazio interno è articolato su una pianta longitudinale scandita da tre navate. All'incrocio tra la navata principale, a quattro campate, e il transetto è collocata una cupola ottagonale, con copertura a falde, sorretta da massicci pilastri. Negli otto lunotti della cupola, il pittore Pietro Dalle Ceste realizzò le figure degli angeli. Le pareti interne della chiesa sono riccamente decorate con mosaici, su disegni di Carlo Morgari. Nella calotta absidale è raffigurata la morte di Cristo in croce. I lavori furono conclusi nel 1953 con la realizzazione delle vetrate policrome che raccontano gli episodi principali della vita della santa. La chiesa fu consacrata l'11 maggio 1957 e, a quella data, risulta arricchita del completo arredo interno e dell'organo.
