No, but it was very quiet, busy eating, we were half hidden under a fallen tree, a few meters from him !!! And then there was a guide with us that we dubbed "the man who whispers to the elephants" ... Great!

Shoot elephants with the wide angle is not for everybody. Congratulations to the whole gallery. You are presenting a vision of the African savannah original and out of the norm and this is a great merit.

Beautiful camera angles and even excellent choice of B / N. It 's rare to get original pictures, creative and taken in a situation so precarious, especially with the elephants. Sincere compliments, that means being of nature photographers: work hard to establish some sort of relationship with the animal you are portraying and not shoot at 800 mm distance from some sitting quietly on a jeep along with another dozen rowdy tourists.

Thanks Alex! This is just the kind of experience that we are looking for! Sometimes a bit 'risky but still leave you emotions that often even the most successful picture can convey! Most of the time after a few shots soft the camera and you just enjoy the moment! ;-)

Definitely a click unusual. It is one thing to come across an elephant, one thing is lurking and waiting to try shooting.
