Ciao

Even this is spectacular, it seems taken from a science fiction film set on another planet.

Ciao.

I remember instead the prehistoric times .. like in those books a bit 'naive disclosure where the dinosaurs were always portrayed below volcanoes!
But your picture is not fantasy but reality !!
Nicholas Bravo .. :-P

Grazie ragazzi!

Thank you guys!
As I said in the post of 75-300, the mist gave me a hand.
See you next time ;-)

Beautiful photos impressive, as indeed all the other Etna.

On top of the volcano was there was in October '84, to the edge of the main crater, while that of the secondary slope Bove on the eastern side, was unapproachable because of the river of lava and interdict the excursions (the day before a foreign tourist during an earthquake had fallen by getting deep wounds to the face, so it was necessary to intervening to bring the helicopter to the hospital in Catania because of severe facial trauma). At 3,400 meters we have not noticed minimamenti of earthquakes that had devastated that day Zafferana and surroundings. Photos of then not know where they are finished, I may have kept the slides, made with the glorious SLR Pentax ME Super 35mm Kodak Ektachrome 200 ASA ...

@Archisilvio
Grazie Silvio!

@Beppe Reda
Beppe grazie.

Ciao
Nicolò

Archisilvio
Thanks Silvio!

Beppe Reda
Beppe thanks.
Well, you were very lucky ... and because it happened to you anything during those seismic events (considering where you were 'perched' :-)), and because, despite the activities of the South-East (probably you referring to him) They have to climb to the summit, which today does not allow more.
In the past, several people have died during a sudden paroxysm which involved a group of tourists with a guide attached. I spoke with guides who know what happened and they told me scenes from the Hollywood movie: people running away on all sides with the rain of debris incandescent type mortars.
If you have photos you recomlio to publish them. Pass them to the scanner and make relive a historical period very fascinating ;-)

Nicolò
