Farfalla Zerynthia Cassandra, sempre più rara nelle campagne pugliesi, tanto che ne fu profetizzata la sua estinzione. In effetti, non è facile incontrarla, così com'è sempre più difficile ammirare la pianta di cui si nutre il bruco di questa farfalla: la Aristolochia, una sorta di rampicante che un tempo copriva, rigogliosa, interi tronchi d'albero o muretti a secco a mo' di cappotto. Comunque la profezia di estinzione è stata sentenziata; anche questa volta, come la storia insegna, noi non crederemo alla profezia... speriamo almeno che questa volta si sbagli la...
