Già, come si suol dire, ogni riferimento è puramente casuale.... MrGreenMrGreen

Already, as they say, every reference is purely coincidental .... -D: -D

Hello. subject light and interesting, and in particular the dramatic light on the martyr to the right.
shame for having cut the left side. it is good practice to check (when you have the time to do so) the composition and elements of disorder at the corners of the frame so as to avoid cases like this where the composition is marred by an error as banal as irremediable. I, for example, out of habit I compose my shots a blade larger than what I need in order to avoid the problem upstream. It is known that the light was really little.

Given the focus and used items all on the same floor, you could open the aperture of 1 or 2 stop without having subjects out of focus. This would allow you to decrease or increase the ISO shutter speeds reducing noise and blur.

it was possible he would comodo a flash to lighten the shadows, but in a case like this is a very difficult to control. The different color temperature would create a play of light in the two-color ambient light would be much warmer than the flash, unless you use specific filters.
also a flash too strong maybe facing the ceiling would have you made it a more diffused light and soft, but prevailed on ambient light to such an extent cancel it with its pros and cons.

Grazie mille Daniele, consigli veramente utili e preziosi. SorrisoSorrisoSorriso

Thanks a lot Daniel, really useful and valuable advice. In this case I was the maximum amplitude with the optics, I could not step back further (the car was already against the opposite wall) and I could not enlarge further the image: the frame move slightly to the left would have created the same "the problem of the cut" with the left hand of Christ. Would you have some advice to better address and resolve such problems dialing? I know: I'm a real snoop. :-) :-) :-)

You would have a council to better address and solve these problems of composition?

Simple: a nice 14mm! -D

I find it very beautiful and powerful contrast highlight / shadow produced by the crucifix. I only worked on that during shooting.
When you put the eye in the viewfinder (so why do not you?) If you have the time to do it (and here I'd have) always ask yourself if there is anything that can be excluded. Usually we tend to do the opposite: "What am I doing to stay?"
Since I started to think in this way, my compositions have drawn a lot of benefit.

And eye always stay in the bubble when you have straight lines (ie frames) so important as in this case.

MrGreenMrGreenMrGreenMrGreen

It was so simple, I should have known .... :-) :-) :-) As I get a little 'availability will try a new goal. Thank you very much for the suggestion of "I focus on what?" .... And you: I can also look through the viewfinder. Until then I got there ... -D: -D: -D: -D

I can also look through the viewfinder. Until then I got there

And 'I do not like to see the reflex to use the display as if they were a smartphone ... -D

CoolCoolCool

Hello Andrea, thanks for the transition and for comment. This is one of my first few shots. I have a little sin 'in composition, but I'm glad you like the result anyway. 8-) 8-) 8-)
