Forte Poggio Grande fa parte dello "Sbarramento di Zuccarello" a ostacolo delle truppe nemiche nella zona di Albenga. La batteria di Poggio Grande venne costruita nel 1897 sulle cime dei Due Fratelli (802 m). La pianta della struttura è poligonale, completamente circondata da un fossato rivestito di muri a scarpata. Al centro del forte un piazzale con le postazioni in muratura per l'artiglieria separate da traverse ricoperte da un manto erboso. Il locale, ricavato dalla traversa, veniva utilizzato come magazzino per le munizioni. La caserma vera e propria si trova al centro della spianata ma ad un piano inferiore, restando quindi difesa dalla traversa che regge la spianata superiore. La facciata è caratterizzata da archi in cotto in corrispondenza degli ingressi ai locali. Tutta la serie di foto e' stata realizzata unendo 5 scatti con diverse esposizioni.
