Dal 1970 la sua attività si fermò nel 2011, e con un referendum i cittadini hanno deciso di mantenere l' impianto come icona degli anni '70 e nonostante la sua cattiva reputazione a causa dell' inquinamento, le torri hanno con il tempo guadagnato popolarità come silouette dello skyline di Barcellona. - The Thermal Power Station in Sant Adrià del Besós, best known as the 'three chimneys' and even the 'Sagrada Familia of Sant Adrià', was a thermoelectric plant located near the river Besòs in one of the beaches of Barcelona, Spain.
