Nonostante il suo aspetto da bulletto, il Tarabusino è un uccello estremamente sospettoso. Al primo rumore sospetto si blocca e assume questo atteggiamento. Nel suo ambiente classico, il canneto, serve per camuffarsi il più possibile. E' un atteggiamento che ha in comune con il suo "fratello maggiore", il Tarabuso.
