Il cielo è bruciato, ma più che cercare di recuperare in pp sarei andato a scattare un'altro orario o un'altro giorno (mi pare che in quel momento la luce era piuttosto pessima). Anche perché i dettagli delle conifere nel cielo sono completamente persi.
Avrei anche provato (magari lo hai fatto) di riprendere la cascata da altre angolazioni per rendere meglio lo sbalzo della roccia, avvicinandomi e mettendomi un po' di lato.
Per il tempo secondo me hai utilizzato un approccio sbagliato: 1/30s non hai ne l'acqua ferma ne molto mossa. Se hai la possibilità la farei con tempi molto più lunghi (cavalletto), in caso contrario (mano libera) aumenterei la velocità in modo da immobilizzare l'acqua.
Naturalmente sono solo miei pensieri

intanto ti ringrazio molto per le osservazioni che condivido pienamente.
Spero di avere occasione di visitare questo posto di mattina sicuramente la luce sarebbe migliore, purtroppo non ho il cavalletto e ho provato a mano libera ma, anche cercando di aumentare il tempo, il risultato è abbastanza simile a quello che ho postato...avrei dovuto alzare parecchio gli iso ma avevo paura di esagerare 
Il posto non è molto distante da dove abito (20 min di macchina e altrettanti a piedi) appena avrò occasione ci ritorno e vedo di mettere a frutto i tuoi "pensieri".

I hope to have a chance to visit this place in the morning light certainly would be better, unfortunately I do not have a tripod and tried to free hand, but also trying to increase the time, the result is quite similar to what I posted ... comunque penso che non sia un posto facile da fotografare e io non ci sono mai stato. Quindi prendile con le pinze i miei consigli.
Se ti piacciono le foto di paesaggi come prossimo acquisto buttati su un treppiede ;) ti darà molte più soddisfazioni di una macchina fotografica nuova o un nuovo obbiettivo
La tua macchina fotografica non la conosci ma dalle recensioni mi pare di capire che fino a 800 ISO arriva, se hai occasione di arrivare fino a 800 però cerca di avere la foto ben luminosa (piuttosto chiara ma senza bruciare). Perché il rumore si nasconde soprattutto nell'oscurità

Your camera does not know it but from the reviews I understand that up to 800 ISO arrive, if you have occasion to go up to 800, however, trying to get that very light (rather clear but without burning). Because the noise is hidden in the darkness above ;-)
