L'Eremo di Santa Maria Annunziata è situato sulla cima del monte Rua (416 m s.l.m.) presso il comune di Torreglia, al centro dei Colli Euganei. Nel 1542 venne fondata la comunità dei camaldolesi. Le imponenti mura racchiudono ben 14 celle, ognuna delle quali somigliava a una piccola casetta completa di camera per dormire e studiare, una cappella con altare, un bagno, una legnaia ed esternamente un piccolo orto recintato da un muretto.
