La mamma ghepardo afferra la preda sotto gli occhi interessati dei cuccioli. Questo è stato il primo tentativo di caccia a cui abbiamo assistito: in tutto 7 di cui 3 si sono conclusi con successo. In questo caso però la femmina, evidentemente molto affaticata, ha atteso moto più del solito prima di addentare la preda che i denti dei cuccioli non riuscivano a scalfire.... Troppo perché appena dopo che avevano iniziato a mangiare è arrivata una leonessa che ha potuto di usufruire di un pasto senza fare fatica........

Abbiamo trovato la famiglia appena prima che iniziasse la caccia e, siccome eravamo da soli, ho potuto posizionare l' auto dove volevo cercando di intuire la dinamica della caccia..... :-P

I cuccioli avranno avuto una decina di mesi per cui erano già cresciutelli ma ancora bisognosi di imparare le tecniche di caccia..
