1/200 f/4.0, ISO 100, Cape Town, South Africa.

Saluti a tutti Massimo #Sguardi

Beautiful in my opinion.
Bravo.

Great beautiful face! The pp is interesting but perhaps revised: the 'effect on the skin seems a bit' too plasticky ... and personally I find that, due to sharpen, beard appears a bit 'annoying. Of course, I speak for my taste .....

Thanks to both of you. Pp wanted to emphasize the hardness of the face of the sailor.
Memy, you're right: I let myself get too carried away in the various steps ("Dragan effect"). I repeated the process avoiding excessive sharpen, but I assure you that the natural skin was so baked by the sun, which seemed polished leather and with a beard could sanding a boat, it was so thick and bristly.
This is the new version, which I put in HD (I do not know if the procedure is correct)

Beautiful portrait .. as shades of colors I much prefer the first version, but I agree with the Memy sharpen. However a click made to a person of the past!

beautiful portrait, quoto Memy on pp, after a little 'reflection I decided that I prefer the latter because it is natural enough to see the effect on the peak of his cap and of course the skin. hello
