Thank you Ann and that you've finally seen this! Well worth seeing on a big computer screen and shows the sharpness potential of this Tamron lens.

Of course I have already seen it when you posted it 'elsewhere'! :) I imagine it would look great on a big screen!

Preparing to go to Stonehenge overnight for the Solstice - mixture of eagerness and trepidation = hard work and a long cold dark night, but forecast could mean a promising sunrise.

I hope you have a most rewarding (and not too uncomfortable) night! Flasks of hot chocolate, fingerless gloves, stashes of high calorie food......
I look forward to seeing what you post, although I suspect that sleep will be the first order of the day!

I have my alternative plans to the last (and only other time) I went on a summer one. Keeping it open, but it involves the big tripod and either the 135-400 or even the 150-500mm lens, so restrictions on supplies of food/drink may have to be limited. It can be a great sense of occasion but also has an ugly side which I really do dislike too.

As I'm sure you can imagine, the whole summer solstice thing does not sit well with me but I would nonetheless appreciate the photographic opportunity!

It doesn't with me either, that's why I have plans to shoot time exposures from a distance, perhaps joining the main 'arena' later on if I get just too bored... last time, there were security searches, sniffer dogs and burger vans - perhaps necessary considering the huge variety of people ( tens of thousands) but it does taint the whole affair. I do enjoy the smaller, better 'meant' winter ones much more.

Would be keen to know what you think of my Exeter fisheye just uploaded before I go?
