Un posto più "sconosciuto" rispetto a tanti must islandesi, ma non per questo più brutto o che non valga la pena visitare! Anzi, situato a metà circa tra il paesino di Vik e la laguna glaciale di Jokulsarlon, in 10 minuti di leggero fuoristrada si raggiunge senza problemi, ed offre uno scenario davvero pazzesco! La definirei l'interpretazione islandese di un canyon, con rocce molto particolari, ovviamente un corso d'acqua che scorre al suo interno e con la tipica combinazione erbosa/muschiosa che si trova in tutta l'Islanda! In più, non essendoci vere e proprie protezioni, con un po' di accortezza si possono raggiungere le punte più estreme dove ci si può anche sedere e godersi con un po' di tranquillità quello stupendo scenario che si ha davanti! :)
