Si attribuisce ad Benedetto Alfieri anche il progetto del "Gabinetto di toeletta" della regina, uno dei capolavori dell' architetto astigiano per la qualità delle decorazioni e la resa dello spazio, caratterizzato dalla continuità delle superfici a specchio e da raffinate cornici. Abbelliscono il tutto due mobili a due corpi con intarsi in avorio, madreperla , ebano e legni rari di Pietro Piffetti (1731-1733), il soffitto è stato dipinto dal Beaumont (1733). L'Appartamento della Regina era in origine l'Appartamento del Re: si inquadra così, nelle funzioni più alte del governo dello Stato il Gabinetto di Toeletta della Regina già Regio Gabinetto per il Secreto Maneggio degli affari di Stato realizzato per Carlo Emanuele III
