È la laguna più vasta del Delta veneto (oltre 3.000 ettari), situata nel comune di Porto Tolle, nella parte meridionale del Delta: collegata con il mare e quindi con acqua salata, con profondità medio-bassa e canali per la navigazione; nella parte più a sud (Sacca di Bottonera) presenta fondali più bassi con apporto di acqua dolce. Attività economiche prevalenti sono la raccolta delle vongole e l'allevamento delle cozze nelle "peociare" (sorta di steccati in legno infissi nel sedimento), nonché la pesca.
