Danneggiata dai bombardamenti del 1942 e lasciata in stato di abbandono, è stata da poco aperta al pubblico dopo il decennale restauro realizzato con imponenti stanziamenti pubblici e privati. Una doppia scala in curva con fontana centrale conduce all'ingresso a portico: due padiglioni laterali inquadrano la facciata, coronata al centro da balaustra con statue.
