I really like the moment caught the expression on the face of the Lord almost resigned to rain but also quiet in awaiting the passage of the event weather while looking away.
I also like the place where the person has chosen to sit because the steps are usually used by people younger and less classic and elegant dress, a gentle man of another era.

Can I ask why you decided to leave the man on the left? I ask because it is a choice that I like because it allows me to see the area where it falls the look of the ladies but also leaves much space to the right where there is nothing.

Greetings

Hello, I start from the end of your message ...
I decided to cut the left side of the photo (very little) because there was a sort of pedestal with writings of hours something ... if I had left it seemed to be "just" reading ... actually remained so for a lot 'and did not read, because with the same expression also looked around ... so I decided to remove all "possible deviation" and I let the gaze is lost in something ...;-)
The right side of the picture so I cut it because there one can see more steps ... but it's only a mere compositional choice, no more to be honest.

For the rest, you're right ... character outside the box and for this charming ...

A dear saluto you.

Luigi

Thanks for the answer mine was just a curiosity and was satisfied, in any case I think the photo is interesting for the fact that you do not see what looks the protagonist making her look even more dreamy

The expression of dreamy character alone supports the pictures ... but what drives me crazy is the elegance Pinstripe London Fog sull'impermeabile with internal barbour and black leather glove. Because the class is not "rain" ...

On seeing this I was reminded of a phrase that I heard in an old movie:
"To bad that things go, the style is all that remains"
I find that in the uniqueness of this subject. Congratulations. A greeting.

Vittorio, Max, Paul and Mauro.
because of your beautiful and very welcome contribution.

Vittorio ... That great city Rome ... more surprises coming soon;-)
Max ...:-D you're right, the class is not rain, and add, if it was a boy or a homeless man would not have photographed, but he is a legend !!!
Paolo, Beautiful quote ... what movie is it?
Mauro, Dreaming happy islands sunny ... or maybe it was an English lord and has only had nostalgia for the British weather ...;-)

Congratulations, a really good shot ... maybe one of the best street that I happened to see here on the forum (even if I do not hang out much this kind). As has been said, here is the subject that alone makes the photo, but I find very interesting is the composition, which is to violate one of the canonical principles of photography, to leave space in front of the subjects. You can not follow where does the gaze (Disenchanted ???) of the subject, but it might not be of interest, is the expression of the heart, or it could be in the background, compared to "who" may come from stairs, just mentioned, behind him ...

Congratulations I really like! Beautiful place, the pdr, the subject photographically speaking very loud.
Brings to mind a Mexican proverb:
If you can change things, do not worry
If you can not change things, do not worry.
Sometimes we labor too ...

what movie is it?
I do not remember, but the scene was one in which, on board a plane that fell, while all were in desperation, a man would sit, waiting for the crash in his place. Even looked out the window. Such asked him how he could remain so calm and there the answer: "To bad that things go, the style is all that remains"
I'll try to remember the title, if I can tell you.
A greeting.

Extraordinary, seems a shot on set.

Singular character and original, a snob outside the box.
Find me agree positioning on the left despite the look go in the same direction. It 'a look almost compassionate towards those who are afraid of the rain, and it' right that is a glimpse into a hypothetical distant subject and unidentified.
Beautiful. ;-)

I really like the subject and the cut, unusual, space right I find that gives depth ...

a note ... but it seems to me overly microcontrastata, in an attempt to exaggerate the sharpness that was not even so essential.
The fine details of the wall, so defined, in my opinion, contribute to decrease the detachment umbrella that, to be honest, I would appreciate more shooting ...

Here perhaps one blurred best would make more effective all :)
