Il titolo di quest'immagine è ispirato da un libro di Isabel Allende, "il mio paese inventato". In quest'opera la scrittrice cilena, da anni costretta all'esilio, descrive un'immagine fantastica del suo paese mediata da ricordi e suggestioni del passato. Questa fotografia vuole essere un omaggio alle emozioni che la Piana di Campo Imperatore mi ha regalato negli anni che ho dedicato a riprenderla: ho trovato lì sogni di Africa ed Islanda, Patagonia e Asia. La Piana è stata spesso il mio "Altipiano Inventato", un luogo quasi metafisico che ha dato forma ai miei sogni di un "fantastico Altrove"
