La foto, in realtà unione di due scatti, è stata scattata il 12 settembre 2012: il giorno prima c'è stato un diluvio pazzesco, noi abbiamo viaggiato in macchina Phoenix-->Grand Canyon Village lungo la Sun Valley che per l'occasione di è trasformata in Rain Valley  Quella mattina il tempo è stato pessimo fino alle 12.30 così il nostro volo in elicottero su CG programmato per le 8.30 è stato infatti posticipato alle 14.00: nell'attesa che arrivasse il momento del decollo abbiamo sostato sui vari view point attorno al Village e sono riuscito a fare qualche scatto tra cui questo
@Marangiantonio: sembra effettivamente una macchina su sensore/obiettivo e la cosa mi infastidisce non poco ma in realtà è quel che rimane della cellula temporalesca, ho altri scatti con l'obiettivo puntato più a destra e anche su di essi la zona a monte di Phantom Ranch lungo il Bright Angel Trail è interessata dalla stessa cellula.

The photo, in fact union of two shots, was taken September 12, 2012: the day before there was a deluge crazy, we traveled by car Phoenix -> Grand Canyon Village on the Sun Valley for the occasion of became Rain Valley:-D That morning the weather was bad until 12.30 so our helicopter flight of CG scheduled for 8.30 was postponed to 14.00 fact: while awaiting the arrival of the time of takeoff we paused on different view point around the Village and I managed to make some shots such as this;-)
Marangiantonio Seems actually a machine sensor / lens and it annoys me but in reality is what remains of the storm cell, I have other shots with the lens pointing more to destra and also on them the upper area of ??Phantom Ranch along the Bright Angel Trail is affected by the same cell.
