Penso questa sia uno dei posti più sottovalutati di tutta l'Islanda. Raggiungerlo è un po' complicato, bisogna far dei km verso l'interno dell'isola e l'ultimo pezzo è sterrato e bruttino, specialmente se come me avete una macchina non 4x4 (non tanto per la trazione quanto per l'altezza). Però quando si arriva lassù la vista è incredibile, c'è tutto il canyon che si estende a perdita d'occhio, con due cascate non molto larghe ma molto alte! Questa infatti è la seconda cascata più alta dell'Islanda, e accanto a questa qui più famosa ce n'è un'altra che appunto si chiama "vicina di casa" (in islandese non ricordo il nome). Ero sulla cima del mondo, tutto solo, con una pace che si trova in pochi altri posti!!
