Nome scientifico: Acronicta rumicis ( Linnaeus, 1758 ) Dimensioni: L'apertura alare della farfalla è di 34-44 mm. Il bruco raggiunge una lunghezza di circa 35-40 mm. Descrizione della specie: La falena ha colori molto variabili, tra il marrone e il grigio scuro. Nella maggioranza dei casi presenta una caratteristica macchia bianca a forma di virgola vicino al bordo posteriore delle ali anteriori. Le ali posteriori sono marroni.
