Questo ambiente, precedentemente destinato al trono della regina, dal 1831 divenne Sala del Trono del re, fulcro cerimoniale della reggia di Carlo Alberto. I tessuti da parati, ornati dallo scudo sabaudo e dal monogramma con le iniziali del sovrano, così come il ricco trono e il pavimento a intarsio, opere ebanistiche di Gabriele Capello, documentano lo stile Impero nella personale interpretazione palagiana. Cinge il trono una balaustra settecentesca in legno scolpito e dorato originariamente collocata intorno al letto della Duchessa d'Aosta, nella sua stanza del Secondo Piano del Palazzo.
