La madre gioca con il cucciolo ormai giunto ai 2/3 anni, quelli della maturità e dell'abbandono forzoso del branco. Le femmine rimangono ma i maschi vengono espulsi e costretti il più delle volte con i fratelli a vagabondare per la savana sino alla conquista del loro territorio. Si prospetta per lui un periodo assai complicato durante il quale dovra' imparare la vita da adulto. Sono gli ultimi giochi, da qui a poco se ne andrà e la madre non lo rivedrà mai più.
