Pigmalione,re di Cipro,per un dispetto fattogli da Afrodite,si innamorò di una statua fatta da lui stesso.
Passava il suo tempo ad accarezzarla,a parlargli.
Sfinito dalla freddezza della statua,implorò Afrodite affinchè lo liberasse,da quello che era diventata un'ossessione.
Afrodite dopo essersi spassata,ad osservarlo per tanto tempo,mossa a pietà,lo liberò,trasformando la statua in una bellissima fanciulla che Pigmalione sposò,e da cui ebbe un figlio.
Milly,così rappresentata, potrebbe essere benissimo la statua di Pigmalione.

Ottima foto e contesto. La qualità dello scatto è indiscutibile. Personalmente a me non piace la testa tra i lampioni del ponte.
Distraggono l'osservatore. Lo confondono. Preferisco altri tuoi scatti.
