WOW! Quadruplet Takahashi, congratulations! If that's what I know, only the tube costs as * all * of my equipment, past and present, including cameras and frames!
Too bad for the corners, you may have to register put images subject to rotation? I guess you have not taken it all in one night. Crazy though, this photo has a shutter 11 times longer than mine!

What is meant by "quadruplet"?

The quadruplet is a system of four lenses, is used to correct chromatic aberrations and distortions of the field. Usually only the finest refractors have this type of construction, there are usually only two lenses, a partial reduction of aberrations.

Usually with a triplet configured correctly type pentax (apo doppiatto aplanatic lens + more leveling rear) is able to eliminate chromatic aberrations and geometric optics of the instrument by opening around f 6-f 7.
If you want a much more open, with an image circle of 10 cm type the correct taka FSQ then you must use a 4-element optical design type Petzval
changed ... increasing the distance of the two lenses flattening.
the difference between the old and the new FSQ and due to the use of glass elements with respect to fluorspar (prohibited) and a greater back-focus compared to the previous, so as to be able to
on fire with tools "draw" more.

Thank you all guys, the optical design is called Petzval, by its inventor Joseph Petzval in 1840. Three lenses correct the plans of colors and fourth planes (fixes COMA at the edges) up to 88 mm diagonal. The edges are unfortunately not able to contain, if not croppando the picture, because they are about 80 images aligned and combined. The tube invoice Japanese << >> say the top of astrographs 100mm aperture, the F ratio is 5.0. And unfortunately this is the only copy that I have the final photo in JPG unfortunately. I called raw FITS in astronomy were lost and still can not believe it, with 4 HDD 2tb internal and 2 external 1TB can not believe it, anyway.
The photo is not unique mosaics, and 80 + photos were made in the evenings so forgive degree to which he had turned the room was not exactly easy. Result different angles.

Geimsone hello, the picture is not bad for charity, but with a FSQ and a cooled CCD is
images can be obtained much better, especially if taken in Tenerife.
My opinion of course ;-)
11 hours of installation? Why?
I am attaching a link to what you can get, this is done with a TEC 140mm, but believe me,
with the FSQ are not far away.
