Malta....Mosta chiesa di St.Mary. il cui disegno e ispirato al pantheon di Roma la cupola è la terza più grande d'Europa le altre due sono a Roma e Londra..........nella sua sacrestia si può ammirare la bomba di aereo che il 9 aprile 1942 alle 16,40 ,sfondo la cupola ( mentre altre due la colpirono solo di striscio rotolando senza esplodere nella piazza circostante)rimbalzò per due volte sulla parete interna prima di adagiarsi sul pavimento senza esplodere.Sistava celebrando la messa alla presenza di centinaia di fedeli eppure nessuno rimase ferito. ps. guardando la foto sotto il foro centrale della cupola sulla sinistra si può capire da dove era entrata la bomba perchè il restauro delle piastrelle non è proprio stato fatto con molta accuratezza.
