Questi ruderi di case di campagna, presenti in gran numero dalle mie parti, sono la testimonianza della fine di un mondo rurale, nato quando le valli alluvionali furono bonificate. Quanta malinconia nel loro continuare ad esistere nell'abbandono.

These ruins of country houses, present in large numbers in my part, are evidence of the end of a rural world, born when the alluvial valleys were reclaimed. How much sadness in them continue to exist in the abandonment.

La luce di un freddo mattino invernale e la brina sull'erba, mi hanno dato la sensazione di un maggior senso di abbandono di questo vecchio casolare diroccato...forse sarò un inguaribile romantico ma tutto ciò che finisce, porta con se una storia che merita di essere letta, anche solo documentandone gli ultimi istanti di vita.

The light of a cold winter morning and the frost on the grass, they gave me the feeling of a greater sense of abandonment of this old house in ruins ... maybe I'll be a hopeless romantic but all that ends, brings with it a story deserves to be read, even documenting the last moments of life. ;-)
