Appena arrivati al ghiacciaio dello J?kulsárlón, dalle fredde acque sbuca fuori una foca, ci saluta per poi scomparire immediatamente dietro ai banchi di ghiaccio, mentre la osservo sto pensando ad una ciambella calda, a una grossa tazza di cioccolata e in quel preciso istante realizzo che la poesia non è in me in quel momento. Stavo impazzendo; La luce non era delle migliori, spiovviginava continuamente e iniziavo a sentire la stanchezza del viaggio sulle spalle... Morale: Non riuscivo a fare uno scatto che mi piacesse veramente. Decido di concedermi uno dei pochi lussi durante la vacanza e mi fermo a prendere qualcosa al bar li vicino. Rinvigorito dagli zuccheri torno a costeggiare il ghiacciaio e finalmente mi si apre davanti agli occhi questa manifica visione, basta solo scattare. A volte quando sei troppo stanco, non riesci a vedere con la mente, ma sono con gli occhi. Quella volta la ciambella e la cioccolata calda mi hanno cambiato la gioranta!
