Eccolo il "killer" africano, fa più morti lui fra gli umani che non leoni o elefanti. Estremamente territoriale rifiuta qualsiasi estraneo e non esita ad attaccare, da avvicinarsi con estrema cautela. Situazione cercata nonostante la ritrosia di mio figlio un pò preoccupato che il barcaiolo ha cercato di mitigare con un "don't worry". Continuavano ad immergersi e riemergere così da non farci sapere dove si trovavano, sono passati sotto la barca e vi dico in tutta onestà che l'adrenalina e un pò di preoccupazione era palpabile.

100 mm! Eri proprio attaccato. Dopo aver visto tanti documentari sulla pericolosità degli ippopotami, alcuni finiti veramente male, non posso che considerare che 1) la tua passione è davvero smisurata se hai rischiato tanto 2) probabilmente la tua conoscenza del comportamento animale ti ha permesso di capire fin dove ti potevi spingere.
Comunque la foto è bellissima!

100 mm! You were just stuck. After seeing so many documentaries about the dangers of hippos, some finished really bad, I can not but consider that 1) your passion is really huge if you risked much 2) probably your knowledge of animal behavior has allowed you to understand how far you could Push.

Gran parte del merito va al barcaiolo che sapeva come affrontare il momento, sono riuscito a malapena a farli entrare nel frame tant'è che li ho messi centrali e ho deciso di tagliare in formato panoramico per una migliore composizione.

Much of the credit goes to the boatman who knew how to deal with the time, I could barely get them into the frame so much so that I put them central and I decided to cut in widescreen for a better composition.

Urca ... !! 100mm sono davvero pochini !!
Sia al Baringo sia al Naivasha anche il nostro barcaiolo di avvicino' molto. Però appena persi di vista si allontanò di qualche metro.
Le barca o forse meglio definirla lancia a motore, lunga e stretta era leggerissime rispetto ad un ippopotamo.

Ringrazio tutti, Alberto anche noi muovendoci piano cercavamo di allontanarci a distanza di sicurezza. Il problema è che non c'erano solo questi due ma erano cinque o sei ed era complicato. Comunque visto che è andato tutto bene una gran bella esperienza.
