Maschio adulto di Capibara, riconoscibile per la ghiandola presente sul muso e utilizzata per marcare il territorio. Solitamente un maschio dominante è a capo di un gruppo familiare, costituito da più femmine accompagnate dai loro piccoli. Possono essere presenti anche dei maschi subordinati. La gerarchia viene stabilita attraverso combattimenti, a volte anche aggressivi. La cicatrice di questo maschio potrebbe essere la conseguenza di uno di questi combattimenti.

Grazie del commento Paolo. Non sbagli, purtroppo se non ricordo male ad Estero del Iberà il giaguaro è estinto o quasi. Oltra ai predatori da te citati si può aggiungere anche il caimano.
