Torre della Kasbah di Taourirt - La cittadina di Ouarzazate è situata nella valle del Dadès, all'incrocio della valle del Draa, a ridosso del deserto sabbioso del Sahara. Poco distante dal suo centro si trova la più importante attrazione cittadina, la Kasbah di Taourirt, una delle meglio conservate di tutto il Marocco. La Kasbah da lontano sembra un castello di sabbia, appena distinguibile dal resto del paesaggio. Fu costruita nel 1754 con la tecnica del pisé, cioè con terra, paglia e acqua impastate fino a raggiungere una consistenza che sfida i secoli. Il palazzo era la residenza secondaria dei Glaoui, pascià di Marrakech, che controllavano il movimento di carovane di ritorno da Timbuctu, nodo cruciale degli scambi commerciali di tutta l'Africa. L'interno della kasbah sembra uno stretto labirinto pieno di stanze, corridoi e scalinate. Appena fuori dal palazzo c'è un villaggio con case di fango ancora abitato, vicoli ripidi di sassi e terra battuta, case buie per proteggersi dal sole che terminano in cortili con caprette e galline, coloratissimi tappeti dai disegni geometrici stesi ad asciugare (Ouarzazate - Marocco). #Prospettive #Perspectives
