Iosto

It 'probably taken around 1920 near the massif of the seven brothers.
In the top left with the white shirt my Grandfather.
He also had a passion for deer .....

Poor deer probably an ancestor of the ones I've photographed I

Greetings

Iosto

Altri tempi
Iosto

Other times
Sardinia was then almost a wild west towns there were few paved roads that connected Sassari to Cagliari, the only two major centers.
The indiscriminate hunting in the absence of laws has led to the distinction of the total Daino and a significant reduction in the Sardinian deer to reach the minimum of 80 years only 200 esempleri.
Today, thanks to political control and the reintroduction of the population is over 6000 animals.
The poor deer still has the velvet is a male between 4 and 5 years captured in late spring, at the bottom you see a small deer or maybe a deer.
Greetings
Iosto

Faces and clothing of a time (note the shoes with the spike plate) and approaches to nature that were expected and normal at the time and, in some quarters, even now.

Those were different times .. the Sardinia in those years was a poor region (I speak as my father told me) and you do not kill for sport but for hunger gentlemen ..

... and Veneto pellagra was rife and migrated
