Hello Commissioner, the mountain ridge in the lower right is not the best (the observation leads me out of the wonder that you have registered), but not knowing the place I do not know that you had the edge.
I find the atmosphere still very rewarding and the beam of light in the center gives the feeling that you described. Maybe I would have opted for a vertical cut, the picture changes course, and very likely stifle the breadth of a horizontal cut at the same time acquire dynamism thanks to the diagonal of light that rises. I do not know if I was clear, it is right to talk about it a bit ', with the greatest respect for your work;-), I basically do not know do the same.

Wonderful balance between the right of shooting, where the shadows, rocks and snow announce the cold, and the left side where the warm light, spruces and larches are opposed to winter looming.
You just have to sit back and enjoy the spectacle of nature!
Beautiful.

Hello Simo! I can not tell you more than what we said .. I think there is still a little nap countered, but it is just my personal taste ... everything else is just a show.
I disagree with Raffale when he writes
the mountain ridge in the lower right is not the best (the observation leads me out of the wonder that you have registered)
I find that instead embraces literally part in light and forcing more watching the light and the scenario inside (only that if the contrasts more form a kind of "vignetting" natural:-D)

congratulations for this wonderful picture !!!

Having made some shots mountain, I know the difficulties encountered .. I know them, but I have not yet overcome:-D. For me, the biggest is that in the face of these scenarios would resume around the landscape, but at the same time bring out every single tree.
Besides the beauty of the moment, for me the credit for this lies in having chosen a PDR, which, although lacking an important first floor, gave a perfect balance between the landscape and the wooded valley, making it accessible and present.
Then enlightened by this gift from heaven, you've caught big !!
Hello;-)

Hello Simon, the light that you waited you then gave a glimpse really bellissimo.Una large depth of field, certainly if I had something in the foreground the shot would have gained, but them you were there;-) so I guess you composed in the best possible way by exploiting what you had (the ridge) .Even in my opinion lacks a coat of contrast, but just a little ... although knowing you are convinced that you prefer the way;-):-D compliments, I like a lot ... a salutone:-P:-P

Thank you very much all those who have looked to express an opinion on this picture.
I reply to some to tell the truth.

Raffaele
well first of all found (seen as we left the last time;-))
I just can not imagine a vertical composition in this case, generally is a solution that I reserve when I need to create a certain line of composition that svilupppi so and always with a close-up still important in introducing foto.Questo is a scenario so majestic (we are always in the presence of marmolada) that I was spontaneous format orizzontale.sul done then the ridge to the right that takes you out of the composition has me a bit puzzled why my compositional intent was just to drive the ' eye angle in basso right and following the profile of the ridge and then take it to the pore toward the sun (the inclination dele ridges then helps in this regard) enclosing in a kind of natural setting the color of larch illuminati.mi regret not having hit the 'goal with you.
thanks for expressing your impressions.

Gianluca
I do not like the contrasts, you already know that, but this time I wanted to leave even softer, to apply the "my" usual contrast only in the area of ??larch to give more evidence, I am not entirely convinced of the result (you do not know what I quarreled with Fabio Marchini on this aspect:-D) but in the end I decided for this solution waiting for the response from some user forum.Posso understand your concerns and many others about it, partly because we are used to a lot of pictures on the webstrong, colorful, contrast, sharp and impactful visivo..sai that I do not follow certain currents but I go on my way, I just hope to meet someone along my journey;-) aktrimenti the long run I'm afraid I'll have to stop and go back home:-D

Emiliano
in front of these scenarios you would like to take the whole landscape, but at the same time bring out every single tree.

in landscape photography think you should always focus on something in particular, you can not want it all, in this case the majesty of the landscape I caught his eyes, made the image I waited more than an hour with the car ready to shoot and remote control in hand because sooner or later a ray of sun had come out and would brighten the woods, I did not think anything other than that, I interessava only that ray of light. :-)

Marco
sure if I had something in the foreground the shot would have gained

You know how a lover of the first floor by smashing his nose, but this time I do not agree: - | with a close-up you would have lost the sense of the height of the point of recovery or rather the emptiness above the valley, this at least it was my intento.e then as you say yourself, in front of them had really empty, very close and I was in the midst of larch:-D

thanks again to all
a greeting
Simone

Quiet Simone, the picture is pleasant and majestic and I had already put the like to confirm this.
I just expressed my humble opinion that is supported by the fact that I use to read from left to right and then my squardo part by larch bottom left lit and rises along the slope almost since the background. Always for me I find it unnatural from the ridge where I said ... It will mean that I'll have to strain to read in this manner.
Best wishes and good weekend ... It's almost close:-P

The photo is very beautiful, is an imposing landscape and the light is fantastic, thanks to the beam that illuminates the side. It seems to fly.
congratulations!
A greeting,
Carlo

Simo I understand and agree that your choice ... I was speaking only by a factor of "functional" in which the ridge more contrasted and then darker, would have "contained" the most part in light. But it remains a technical detail, the entire image is so beautiful even without changing a comma!

Beautiful lighting situation, the composition I like it, I would tell you that maybe I would have liked to see more gray area around the spot of light but I have not the slightest idea of ??the scene beyond the margins of your shot;-), on the contrary we taste different, but I fully respect your choice, in fact every time I finish a ride on the 500px appreciate very much;-):-D
Congratulations, hello:-)
Ps after all digressions add that the picture I really like, I do not know if it was clear:-D

Excellent shooting a beautiful landscape Simone with natural tones and without much straining.
Vignetting "creative selective" not applied evenly but maybe through a mask with brush Darks would in my opinion strengthened the contrast between the light and you wanted to highlight the various parts in the shade outside, but we should try and then are personal tastes.
Hello from Franco:-D:-D:-D

Thank Carlo2404.Caterina and Franco for the visit and appreciation

Caterina
I would have liked to see more gray area around the spot of light but I have not the slightest idea of ??the scene beyond the edges of your frame
.not I understand what you mean because you talk about framing: fconfuso:
I am aware of having made a choice on the post production very unpopular, I'm considering all solutions and the opinions that I will come, I keep them all jealously in archives, but I will not affect me too much otherwise would defeat my path fotografico.credo however, that some Contrast the photo calls and definitely another thing I jumped in the eyes recently (is a month that I'm working on this photo) is that I have held too light the first part of the ridge to the rightand perhaps it is also one that does turn up a little nose at all or almost.
I know that you, too, for example you prefer contrasts definitely more determined but I was pleased that you are able to go beyond the personal taste and enjoyed the image in its intierezza.grazie
every time I finish a ride on the 500px appreciate very much
ahahahahah I go there less and less of those sites (including 1x for example) and when I go there I always dimentivco to put sunglasses before open foto..non tell you the burns of eyes at the end of the day:-D:-D:-D

Franco
thanks for the advice, I think I have responded and given reason;-) in response to Catherine, I think you meant anyway darken the shadows on the ridge running from right?

un greet
Simone
