L'Oman è in gran parte selvaggio ed estremamente arido, inospitale, ma il corso di alcuni fiumi in alcune vallate rocciose (wadi) trasforma letteralmente il paesaggio, rendendolo un luogo paradisiaco e ricco di uccelli (inutile dire che sono riuscita a fotografare solo un airone da lontano).
