at 18mm, Posa B f/8.0, ISO 200, tripod. Godafoss waterfall, Iceland.

Come potete vedere anche l'atmosfera è molto simile all'altro scatto in quanto è stata fatta circa 10 minuti dopo.

it was a pleasure, then, given your young age, I have to say that with the camera you can do there. I also like the fact that you love to travel. Congratulations indeed. Around that you did in Iceland? I would like to go there next summer: it was scheduled for this year, then I decided, for family reasons, for Scotland. You what time were you there?

Beautiful but the shot ...
known noise and grainy small parts in the "distant" photo?
How so? with a D800 and 200 iso these problems should not be there ..

Claudio: I thank you again for the compliments, really friendly! I was two months up here in Iceland and indeed there are still, I'm going back Monday in Italy:-(I made three trips in two months and I have visited more or less all the most famous and someone a bit ' less, anyway I visited all areas, north and south, east and west (although as you can see from the picture, the time sometimes was not on my ..) I highly recommend coming here as soon as you can, really deserves much!
1niko: thanks a lot !!
Simone600d: you're right, there is a little 'noise in the high corners of the picture; because this really was already very dark and I really long to gain exposure (6 minutes) I was mounted on a 10 stop filter (among other things on the quality not excellent ..); But after 6 minutesthe image obtained was very dark and then I found myself working on a lot of PP, unfortunately getting a little 'noise in the corners!
Donatella: thank you very much for the compliments !!

Greetings to all, Leonardo

Ecco tutto spiegato, Leonardo!

Ciao,
Simone

That's all explained, Leonardo!
But now it gives me another question: why use an ND filter 10 NIGHT stop to get the silky water? Would not be enough to close the aperture a bit and make a MAXIMUM exposure from 1 minute?
(Not a provocative question, but maybe I'm missing some detail that I do not know for the adoption of this technique instead of the one I reported :))

Hello,
Simone

Alias, grazie mille!!

Un saluto, Leonardo

Alias, thanks a lot !!

Simone600d: it was night, it was shortly after sunset that only light there was really little! And since I was on the other side of the waterfall and I was satisfied with the result with the time of exposure so long, I wanted to replicate here! In addition, the filter helps a lot with this dominant blue / purple to create that atmosphere so dark and cold, and since I like to immediately see the shot, just like me, I continued to use the filter, down unfortunately this compromise! I hope I explained and not take me for a fool! : D

Greetings, Leonardo

Buona luce,

Simone

But imagine Leonardo, simple and very clear explanation!
The photo on the other side of the waterfall like a lot more though: P

Good light,

Simone

Andrea

Beautiful shot and beautiful compo ...... ...... I have one almost identical to do that I had to fight with the water spray of the waterfall, a hell but it was worth it!
A greeting!
Andrea

Thanks to Diamond, Simone600d and Andrea!
Andrea: I ditto, the spray from the waterfall was really annoying! I could not get this shot at a time that the wind had changed direction, too lucky!

Greetings, Leonardo
