Il Gerenuk detta anche antilope-giraffa si può ammirare nello Tsavo Est e più a nord nell'area di Samburu. Sono molto veloci e dotate di buona resistenza, caratterizzate da un lungo collo hanno la particolarità di nutrirsi dei germogli più teneri che si trovano in alto alzandosi sulle zampe posteriori che sono lunghe, sottili ma muscolose, restando in equilibrio immagino con non poca fatica. Una dimostrazione di forza considerato che il peso raggiunge i 45 KG, ed eleganza. In questa situazione sono però anche molto vulnerabili.

Animale a me sconosciuto, ho letto con interesse la spiegazione, belle le fotografie e la trilogia di presentazione, io preferisco la prima perchè lì l'animale sembra altissimo , si vede bene il collo lungo e l'intenzione di nutrirsi dato che è girato verso l'albero e i germogli tanto ambiti
