Raccomando sempre di avvicinare gli elefanti con molta cautela. Madre e cucciolo a bordo pista, Steve il driver ferma la jeep per farli attraversare. Stiamo un pò in attesa e poi la madre invita il cucciolo e lo manda avanti. Il piccoletto anzichè andare dritto viene verso di noi, si ferma a pochi metri e tenta in modo goffo di superare un piccolo avvallamento. Chiedo a Steve di tenere d'occhio la madre poco lontana e mi diverto ad osservarlo mentre tenta "la scalata", ovviamente faccio qualche scatto. Scivola di continuo e non ce la fa, poi desiste torna verso la madre e se ne vanno senza attraversare.
I always recommend to approach the elephants with caution. Mother and baby on the track, Steve the driver stopped the jeep to get them through. We are waiting a bit and then his mother calls the puppy and sends it forward. The little guy is instead of going straight toward us, stops a few meters away and awkwardly tries to overcome a small valley. I ask Steve to keep an eye on the mother not far away and I enjoy watching him try to "climb" of course I do some shooting.
