Anche se la poesia è breve, Ungaretti riesce ad esprimere la condizione di soldato. Egli paragona infatti il soldato ad una foglia d'albero in autunno: basta un colpo di vento per far morire la foglia, così come basta un colpo di fucile a far cadere il soldato... Mentre io ve la ripropongo con questo scatto negli ultimi giorni di questa bellissima farfalla , senza niente da togliere alla bellissima poesia di Ungaretti
