'm new to the forum ... Last night flipping through a little 'travel destinations and travel reportage on the area (looking for something on Burma :-)) and I found this wonderful place fotodi: Lençóis.
The picture I added is not anything special, but I hope I make it a bit 'the idea of ??this beautiful natural park, located in the north of Brazil and little known in Italy.
It is, briefly, a desert area of ??270 square kilometers, with a special feature: it rains in the area, and also a lot. The rain then form these huge pools of fresh water and clear water, which are in contrast with the sand dunes.
Lençois in Portuguese means sheets and the park has this name because they saw the plane, the effect is that of white sheets (the dunes) hung out to dry with the background of the sky (which is reflected in the pools of water). Put like that it sounds a bit 'strange, but if you are looking for someaerial photo'll understand :)
Maybe slowly add a few more photos. It is a difficult place to get to and not easy to photograph, especially with a limited technical like mine, but it's so nice that some result is obtained by force ...

sono nuovo del forum...Ieri sera sfogliavo un po' le destinazioni di viaggio e l'area sui reportage di viaggio (cercavo qualcosa sulla birmania  ) e non ho trovato fotodi questo splendido posto: Lençois Maranhenses.
La foto che ho aggiunto non è niente di particolare, ma spero renda un po' l'idea di questo parco naturale bellissimo, situato nel nord del Brasile e poco conosciuto in Italia.
Si tratta, brevemente, di un'area desertica di 270 km quadrati, con una particolarità: in quell'area piove, e anche parecchio. La pioggia forma quindi queste enormi pozze di acqua dolce e limpidissima, che fanno da contrasto con le dune di sabbia finissima.
Lençois in portoghese significa lenzuola ed il parco ha questo nome perchè visto dall'aereo l'effetto è quello di lenzuola bianche (le dune) stese ad asciugare con lo sfondo del cielo (che si riflette nelle pozze d'acqua). Detto così suona un po' strano, ma se cercate qualche foto aerea capirete subito :)
Magari con calma aggiungo qualche altra foto. Si tratta di un posto difficile da raggiungere e non semplice da fotografare, specie con una tecnica limitata come la mia, ma è talmente bello che qualche risultato si ottiene per forza...
