Hello Lucia !!! Indeed this equestrian statue is located on the top of the Palace of Rajoy, headquarters of the junta Galician, in the Plaza do Obradoiro, just opposite the shrine of Santiago de Compostela. The palace is neoclassical and the pediment has many reliefs depicting a battle in which it is said that Santiago helped the Christian army to win against the Moors by the Emir of Cordoba. The other picture shows the top center of the sanctuary where you represent Santiago.
Thanks for the ride Ciao Lucia!!!

Hello Malphy is in fact this' more 'a leader who a saint, a little mixed' flag (Christian), and then I read a story mixed. ) At first I thought even in San Rocco 'cause brings a brimmed hat like a pilgrim and was so well' married 'with the Camino de Santiago, or St. James, given also the symbol of the shells them' and 'home. Then the other door also stick typical pilgrim's cloak and that characterize the saint to which I referred. 'Cause in the end these gentlemen were noble characters and leaders. Thanks. Grazie.
