La Denali Highway , una delle strade più panoramiche e selvagge del Nord America . Più di 200 miglia di sterrato e buche nel bel mezzo del nulla .Inaugurata nel 1957 ,fino al 1971 è stata l'unica strada di accesso al Denali National Park . In questo scatto,fatto con il teleobiettivo durante un piovoso trekking nella taiga, il tratto finale verso Paxson...ovvero quello nelle migliori condizioni. Chiusa al traffico dalle prime nevicate di inizio ottobre a maggio avanzato, il paesaggio è sempre spettacolare e vario . Nel periodo in cui siamo stati noi (terza settimana di settembre), l'isolamento è ancora più elevato, i pochi turisti sono spariti,l'unico distributore presente lungo la tratta è chiuso ormai da quasi un mese,il cellulare è come non averlo, solo qualche tardivo cacciatore locale passava di rado con il suo gigantesco fuoristrada .Ogni mattina incrociavamo le dita ,quando la nostra vecchia Chrysler faceva i soliti capricci per partire .
