Per soddisfare le vostre curiosità vi posso dire che la vipera in questione supera raramente i 25 cm di lunghezza e quindi la sua distanza di scatto per poter mordere è circa 15 cm .Per fare questa foto ero a circa 30-35 cm di distanza e lei era tutta occupata a insabbiarsi per potersi nascondere . E' magnifico il mimetismo di questa specie ed il suo adattamento all'ambiente dimostrato dal fatto che gli occhi non sono laterali, ma l'evoluzione ha fatto si che si siano spostati verso la parte alta del cranio per poter sporgere dalla sabbia e poter , in tutta calma ,aggredire le sue prede , prevalentemente lucertole, senza essere vista .Un cacciatore da agguato .

To satisfy your curiosity, I can say that the snake in question rarely exceeds 25 cm in length and therefore its shooting distance to biting is about 15 cm. To do this photo I was about 30-35 cm away and she was totally concerned with silt to be able to hide.
