Allora, ieri sono tornato da un viaggio di 10 giorni in solitaria e totalmente in macchina (sempre dormito in auto) tutto intorno all'Islanda; mi sono trovato in situazioni davvero particolari a volte, ma nel complesso è stata davvero un'esperienza unica che sono sicuro ricorderò per tutta la vita. Ora cercherò di raccontarla anche a voi attraverso le mie foto, sperando che riescano a trasmettervi le emozioni che ho provato io quando ero lì o che semplicemente vi piacciano. Il mio viaggio inizia alle 5:30 di mattina, quando parto per andar a ritirare la macchina; l'intenzione, visto che qui il sole sorge già abbastanza tardi, era quella di andare a Geysir a far l'alba. Purtroppo, per una serie di inconvenienti (tipo che non riuscivo ad aprire il tappo della benzina, alla fine ho dovuto usare una chiave inglese!!) ho fatto tardi e non avevo idea di dove potermi fermare; ad un certo punto lungo la strada vedo il cartello "Oxararfoss" e decido di fermarmi, anche perché quel nome lo avevo già sentito (infatti me lo ero anche segnato sulla cartina, solo non ricordavo che fosse li!). Dopo 5 minuti di camminata attraverso un surreale canyon arrivo alla mia prima cascata: che spettacolo! Ero estasiato e sapevo benissimo che non era nulla in confronto a quelle che avrei visto nei giorni successivi. Appena in sole sorge dalle colline retrostanti ed illumina la parete della cascata, quello era il momento da cogliere; si è creato così nella foto un (a mio parere) suggestivo effetto caldo/freddo del fiume in basso che scorre contro le rocce della parete.
