La composizione l'avrei centrata includendo più cielo rispetto al primissimo piano tutto sommato poco interessante.
Per il resto, mi pare ci fosse una luce piuttosto dura da gestire: forse in post si poteva aumentare il contrasto?
Comunque, il posto da cui scattato è molto promettente: il soggetto non è facile.

I would have centered the composition to include more sky than the first order altogether uninteresting.
For the rest, I think there was a light rather hard to manage: perhaps you could post increase the contrast?
