Very nice, excellent choice of BN.

It makes me think of a place on the Amazon in Manaus where they made ice ....

as always very nice pity only that the piece of ice is lost a little in the highlights of the sky!
a greeting Paul!

ciao
Paolo

Thanks Mignoloso ... I know, you're right ... you do not know the hard work I've done, to reach this compromise .... I still have many doubts about this picture .... and it is for this reason that ` I posted ..

you can not always achieve perfection but you can get close!
sorry if I ask you a question that has nothing to do with the shot .... but what's on your avatar, I do not understand and I'm curious!

Ciao
Paolo

If you go in the photo art you'll see this picture in full .... is a detail of a succulent plant, a dwarf coconut tree, to be precise ... l `image vaguely reminiscent of a woman's body ... This photography , after having been bought proposal is to furnish a hotel, and is included in measures 1m x 1,40 mt, framed, Polaroid type 8x10, along with others on the same style ... in amonitor does not say much, but printed .. does is effect

Ciao, Ste.

Another interesting document ... quoto Mignoloso on the ice. Ultimately, it could work in post levels, but it would have been difficult to obtain good results given the proximity to the brightness of the sky and ice. Hello, Ste

Stupenda. Sorriso

Superb. Good time, good choice and B / W low in contrast. Excellent sharpness of the subject and good shutter speed (even the falling droplet has been immortalized!) So what more could you want from a photo? :-)

ciao,
Simone

Beautiful photo reportage.
Your b / w is really nice (although I prefer the b / w high-contrast).
hello,
Simone

A presto
Paolo

ok, but it is still ice, that element between the white and transparent, it is not that you can make it look like something else. in short, to me it is already quite all right as well.

davvero straordinaria! in tutto. Ciao e complimenti ancora.

truly amazing! throughout. The black and white there is a marvel. The man's face says it all. It 'a highly communicative photos where technicalities take a back seat. Just the intensity of the face and the pride of the pose to speak for itself. I would leave it as is. would have been nice to know more about the documentation of the incident. Where were you exactly? How did contact between you and the man he left photograph? From where did that piece of ice .... etc.. It will be a pleasure to learn more! Hello and congratulations again.

Ciao
Paolo

Bosphorus and Vincent Thanks ..... Here are Camucin, "town" between Fortaleza and Jericoacoara, in the state of Ceara `northeastern Brazil ... Camucin, and is the country from where, the vessels that are at sea open a week and more ... Chiamerli vessels, and clearly say the least, are actually barges, for 6/7 fishermen who usually sleep on the deck (open), the only two holds, are, one for ice, and the other one for the "pescado" ... There is a true haven `a Camucin here ... and the bars of ice, are unloaded by hand from trucks to boats ... This guy is used precisely in this work, which is `from 5 am to 6 pm and takes an average of $ 5 per day.
With regard to the "contact", as in most cases, my approach is that of dialogue, knowledge, and deepening curious .... I always use the 50mm L `0 to maximum 80mm, and it is always liked to pose and "shape" my "characters" ... for as I see them .... Is this a different way, it best, it `worst to reportagand ... in the future, `I'm going around with a white cloth for background and lighting support, to portray, characters, which are disappearing, like in the studio .... ligth-day." on the road ".. . (nothing new under the sky) of course ... This is my way ...
