P.S. per Alain Ghignone: in effetti anche io sapevo che si chiamasse Svasso Piccolo, in quanto se non erro la denominazione minore è usata per il Tuffetto.

Indagando un pò sembra aver ragione Roberto De Siena: lo svasso minore è detto anche tuffetto minore, è riconoscibile subito dall'occhio giallo acceso. Lo svasso piccolo ha invece l'occhio rosso.

Investigating some reason seems to have Roberto De Siena: the great crested grebe minor is also called minor, is immediately recognizable by the eye bright yellow. Black-necked Grebe on the other hand the red eye.

Ovviamente ha fatto bene Roberto Marchitelli a precisare che il termine "svasso minore" è associato al "tuffetto minore" (non l'avevo precisato), in quanto altrimenti c'è il rischio di fare ancor più confusione, visto che con tuffetto si indica la specie comune (Tuffetto comune - Tachybaptus ruficollis), mentre qui stiamo parlando di "Svasso piccolo" (Podiceps nigricollis) e "Svasso minore" (Tachybaptus dominicus)...ovviamente non sono così bravo da sapere ste cose a memoria ma mi sono andato a fare anche io una bella ripassata in rete  .
